need a shallow mount 6.5" for a 98 civic, or something that will fit in the door, either raw driver or comp set

you could always get something less shallow and just use a piece of mdf as a spacer, thats what i did with my components in my car and they work fine.

Morel has some shallow drivers.

I'm not familiar with those doors at all, but usually you can add a spacer behind the driver and still fit the door panel back on just fine....thats what Mancini was talking about.

the door panel has a plastic grille that snaps over where the speaker goes, also there is i think just a little less than 2" of depth

Try measuring the distance in front of the speaker with the grill on. So you can have an idea how much further you can increase mtg depth by adding spacers behind the speaker.
