Yeah I would like to know provern mid bass setups like specific brands!!! Size does not matter just need people with experience with proven setups!!!

Hrm....three brands come to mind right off the top of my head (normally in the 8 Ohm world, but they should have 4 Ohm versions available):
Peerless
Vifa
Morel

A brand that I've not personally used, yet, but I've been told keeps up with the aforementioned is Dayton Loudspeakers. Will probably be picking up a pair of their 2" Dome Midrange Drivers to replace the ones on the home towers (surrounds have rotted away).

As for out of the box:
Infinity Reference; Boston Accoustic; Memphis; Orion XTR; CV V-Mag; and Eclipse PointSource have always been some of my low-cost bang-for-the-buck favourites.

YES! The low end extension on the HD's DESTROYS that off the CSX...just for reference I have my HD's crossed over at 40hz 24db/oct [Big Grin]

Not for midbass...decent little subs, but I wouldn't use them for midbasses.

it was the $35 vifa 7" pl that was on sale......but it was only on sale for yesterday.....its back to normal now.
