i'm thinking about getting the focal 136v (for $205.00 shipped)or what other brand should i get for the money. is there something equal or better for the same price. this is a run down of the system. 94 rolla, HU - ( tbd ) EQ - ( tbd ) front stage - ( focal or other ) back stage - ( tbd ) 4-ch amp - ( jbl 85.4 i think that's the no. of the amp ) sub - ( e8o from elemental desings ) mono amp - ( jbl 1200.1 ). just remember this is just a run down it will change when it get's closer to buying. but one thing is for sure it will be that sub, and if they start makeing comp set well that would answer my Q.

-------------------- Linux Airline Disgruntled employees of all the other OS airlines decide to start their own airline. They build the planes, ticket counters, and pave the runways themselves. They charge a small fee to cover the cost of printing the ticket, but you can also download and print the ticket yourself. When you board the plane, you are given a seat, four bolts, a wrench and a copy of the seat-HOWTO.html. Once settled, the fully adjustable seat is very comfortable, the plane leaves and arrives on time without a single problem, the in-flight meal is wonderful. You try to tell customers of the other airlines about the great trip, but all they can say is, "You had to do what with the seat?" Posts: 2956 | From: Tinley Park | Registered: May 2000

You may also want to look into the DD 6.5 component set - getting very good feedback from the SQ & SQ+ crowd.
BA is always a good option - even if you don't go with them, use them for comparison. Same with Infinity Kappa.
Orion XTR will take plenty of abuse and sound good, IMO - 1 set of 6.5s kept up with 4 15s in my neighbor's s-10. The Orion HCCA series is supposed to be very good as well, on par/equal to a/d/s.
I've had very good results with my Vifa/Infinity combination at home: 8" Vifa mid-bass driver & 3/4" Infinity Poly-cell tweeter. Granted, this is in a home bookshelf speaker, but it sounds very smooth, warm, and can handle just about anything I throw at them (PS2, Action/Sci-fi movies, music = rock, metal, 80s, southern-rock).
Polk normally have a very natural sound, however, I find them a bit lacking in mid-bass (similar complaints have been made in regard to Infinity). But their tweets are normally very smooth.
All of those, except for maybe the HCCAs, should keep you in the 150 - 225 range. Good luck
