I just ordered the Crystal CSc60t (fronts) and CSx615 (rear fill) today from http://www.uscaraudio.com/ The guy that helped me gave me a good deal on both. It may be about a week or two weeks until I get in installed.
US CarAudio did not have the CSc60s in stock and also he told me that the Titanium tweets are slightly more detailed and sound just as good as the silks. So I will let you know how it goes!
I will most likely accomdate these speakers with an Alpine 7894 or 7897. It just depends the type of deal I get on either unit.
Can't wait!

Anyone, how do the csc60's sound? I am about 1 click away from ordering them. The price is right but is it too good to be true? ($139.00) I have been able to determine that the titanium version is brighter than the silk units, is it true? I have never heard a silk tweeter (smooth as silk?).
How do the mids perform? What can they play down to and still stay clean?
For those that are owners, how much power do they need / handle realistically? We can all read specs but what is the real deal here.
CreeDiddy, Please give us a review after you get them up and running.

Great, can't wait to hear your impressions!
Are you going to amp them? Quite a bit of difference going from HU to amp. A ton cleaner and louder.
My older model Crystals handled 75w each from my JL 300/4 fairly well, I don't know if I'd go with much more than that though. Headroom is always good though...

khaosman, Can't wait myself. No I don't have an amp. I will be using the headunit for roughly 1-2 months. Then I will decide to get an amp. I am looking into getting JBL 80.4 for the comps and coax's.
Well the guy that I spoke with told me that the Crystal's can handle some poewr. He told me that you throw over 150 RMS and they should shine! So I have no idea what I may get for power.

I ordered a set of CSc60s's last night, they seem to be decent from all I have read. The price didn't get any better, figured I couldn't go wrong. 139.00 at SD.
I will also be going HU (Kenwood KDC-MP919) until I decide on a sub/amp config.
Anyone got these on a amp? How much do they need / take? I just don't feel manly buying a amp under 100W x 2. Posts: 59 | From: VA, native TXN | Registered: Jul 2002

texans fan, I got my 60t's for $135 + shipping from onlinecaraudio.com. I spoke with a guy named John. I told him that I saw a price of $140 at SD and he didn't even hesistate one bit and he price matched w/ a $5 difference. Excellent service, in my opinion!
If you are wondering about amps, I think I may order the Pioneer 9300. I will power the Crystal's with the internal amps, until I get a more powerful amp.
I will tell you what, if you bypass the amps in the HU you will definately get better sound. Mu guess if you feed it with more than 50 WRMS, these comps should shine!

My Crystal's are here! The build quality on the comp and coax are wonderful. Only time will tell when I them installed.
If you are buyer looking for comps and coaxs for under $250, you are hard-pressed to get such as a higher quality set of components. They look teriffic!

Are the csc60t true 6.5 or are they larger than 6.5. I thought I read somewhere that they were actually more like 7 in.

I couldn't tell ya if the drivers are oversized are not. I will have to wait until I can them installed. However, by the looks of things they look like an averaged size 6.5" driver.
So the real importance is the mounting depth of each speaker. Sometimes the cut-out diameter may be large for most cutouts on some cars, however, a .75" MDF cutout can be used as plate modifications. The speaker plates that SD sells are probably a little to small and can accomadate bigger speakers, such as the Crystal 6.5" drivers.
So I will have plates done to accomadate the 6.5" drivers within my 6"x8" cut-outs.

I got my component set finally and I am ready to get them in. Wow is the tweeter huge. Biggest I have ever attempted to install. I am half scared to cut such a big hole in my door just in case I don't like the sound. I am going to hook them up to the home stereo tomorrow just for a listen. I hope they don't let me down.
Anybody done the flush mount with these? Did you have to modify the pressure clips on the back side and if so how much? Any problems with the install?
