Modded MMATS 1400.2 added cap, protection gone. I'm running 3 woofers that are 2/2 each which comes to either 1.34 or 3 ohm nominal. Am i gonna blow this amp by running it at or around 1 ohm? I've heard many mixed answers, and MMATS was no help. Anyone?? Thanks!!

what ever happened to you? you used to sell alot of planet audio stuff from what I remember its been a year or so since I've seen you post. I'd say get a BD2000.1 [Razz] WAY more power than the Mmatts could even hop to give. But these are just words we'll have to wait and see [Wink]

Well homie, it doesn't give ratings @ 1 ohm. Just like the old question if a D2 can be burped at .5 ohm. Always different answers. I'm just lookin for who's tried it and what's happened (or not happened for that matter). It's only got the capacitor and protection modded, nothin else.
As far as it cutting out, I don't know. Too scared to try it until i get more answers on here!

i daily drove mine at 1 ohm all the time and i have burped mine at .05 ohms before. But if for some reason it does blow, Mmats will rebuild it for u for a flat rate of $150. I have blown my fair share, but mostly when my subs go they take an amp w/ it

Humph! Well i wired it all up, came to 1.7 ohm in the end. Threw em on the amp and played em free air (havent finished the box) and the amps fine! Anyone think this will change once they're in a box? I expect the impedance to naturally rise.. but just wanna make sure. Thanks for any input! (if any [Razz] )
