I just went from a concept 2400a to a Orion 2500d and this was the best money i ever spent! went from a 138.5 to a 144.3 on a new termlab.. Cant wait to get another 2500d to put on my DD's.. All though i found out they dont like high input voltage [Frown] . Good thing for a warrenty

i hope to buy one in the future....cept i have no money right now....my 18xxx is laughing at my jl 1000/1 [Frown]

if you gained 6dB from changing those amps, you weren't doing something right with the old one.

Out of curiousity how much input voltage did you give it?

I went from 2ohm down to .5 ohm so i went from 1200watts up to 3000watts.. I was easly giving it a 8 volt prein

u running those 2 orion 2500 at .5 as your daily setup if so do u have any problems witht them going into protection? Any idea what they put out at .5 ohms.

Guys he has 1 (one) Orion 2500d in his sig. He said he has 2 dual 2ohm DD's and....Orion 2500d.

So how much input voltage can they take?
I was told they were ok with 8v [Confused]

Hey man, there was your problem right there...The Concept makes max power .5-1 ohm so you were probably only getting 1000 watts.....Not that Orion isn't a better amp, but Concept is pretty good too....You can get the rated 2400 watts out of it and even at 12-14 volts it makes a solid 1800........Keep it bangin playa.. [Big Grin]
