purchased on from the zeb last night, 1600x1 at 1 rms, heard through the grapevine people burping them at .5 ohm loads, if its safe what kinda power is coming out at .5ohm? i am gunna runing aw1500q's that are rated 800 rms would the power at a .5 ohm load blow them providing my box is properly tuned?

eventually im sure it would,im givving 2 15 inch PunchZ's (rated at 400 Max) 600 a peice, and they have been fine for 7 months until last month when a tensil lead fried, but it was a easy fix and they sound just as good as the day i bought them,for $130

i'm taking about running .5ohm impedance for burps only on subs that are rated to take 800 rms in a 10 cu ft enclosure. what kind of power will they be recieving at .5 impedance? is it safe? people with knowledge of audiobahn please reply the amp will be warenteed the subs will not

Yes you can burp them at .5 ohm I ran mine at .5 for daily. Not much power increase though

maybe your lucky.. the 2200 and the 2300 can't handle .5ohm very long.. the 1500 can.. i had my old 2200hc on a 1508X at .5ohm.. it died in about 3minutes..

i wouldn't go below 1 ohm on that amp, it does about 1575 @ 14.4 volts before clipping... one i tested did that, might have been 1576, i can't read my writing.
