Hey guys ive been into car audio for awhile but finally found this forum , its awesome. Anyways here is what happened to me , sorry its a little long but its a complex story:

well this whole ordeal started when i first got my new mids and highs amp in around the first of january , i first got in the mail and i thought it was awesome couldnt wait to install it , btw it's an audiobahn 6600E (6x75 rms) . Well got it installed and noticed a few problems the whole casing on the amp was a little bent as in the amp has a bow in it . Next thing i noticed is that one of the led's on the amp never goes out when you turn the car off and the other one does so i know the remote turn on is working , one just happens to be screwed up and stays on constantly , so its constantly draining power. Yes i was pissed but ive lived with it for a little while now. I went to install the last speakers i had to install which were my 6x9s and i seemed to all of a sudden have tons of noise in my system that was coming through the 6x9s at low volumes. Turns out that one of the 6x9s would not even work at all. The problem that i figured out when i took it to the audio shop , oh both channel 3 and 4 are defective and 4 doesnt work at all. So i'm about to get on the phone and curse audiobahn for a long time. It should be very interesting. Anyways hopefully they will replace or "fix" the amp so i can then sell the piece of Sh@t and get some sort of quality 4 channel amp.

that was my original situation until today when i just got home i want to take back half of the bad stuff i said about audiobahn, i found out that i had purchased the 2001 model no. A6600E amp from thezeb.com for only 200 dollars and it was a steal but i got what i payed for , it was a 6x75 @ 4ohms gigantic amp and it is no longer made , well on my doorstep today was a brand new 2003 model A6601T 6x75 watt amp ,

 - [Smile] there warranty process took a few weeks including shipping and resulted in a brand new amp that retails for like $700. Now i have to do some research and decide if i want to keep this amp or sell it , anybody have any feedback on these audiobahn a/b amps ?? Someone told me there mids/highs amps were notorious for putting noise into a system ,any truth to this ??anybody wanna make me an offer? By the way im running decent equipment i guess alpine 7894 with infinity kappa components and 6x9s , jbl 600.1 pushing an 12 IDMAX , so what do yall think , thanks alot , -Reed.

a good shackism that everyone should keep in mind and even myself should listen to sometimes "even rolls royce has a service dept" food for thought next time you want to call up and scream at some tech support or phone awnserer that has absolutely nothing to do with the actuall hands on manufacturing of the product [Smile]

let me get this straight, you buy an amp online that gives you a ****ty warranty when it happens because you installed something wrong or the product is defective. chances are you should look in the mirror who is the culprit at making this amp not work. it is possible that it came defective, the best thing you can do is be polite, if someone cursed at me on the phone, the only response that would happen is a transfer to my friend dial tone.

ok um your wrong , wrong and wrong , first of all the amp came in the mail and the whole casing on the amp was bowed ???? me and a friend hooked it up and only one led constantly stays on , i mean wtf ?I took to the amp to a local shop and they conquered that the amp was totally screwed. second of all i bought this from thezeb.com which is an authorized audiobahn internet retailer which means i got the full audiobahn warranty on , the product. and third i didnt really curse anyone on the phone i was just saying that i wanted to because of the all the **** i had been through ,that was kind of a joke. i was very polite but sometimes you have to let people know you mean business to get things done. Now my question for anyone , is this a good amp or should i sell it and buy something else such as a jl 300/4. thanks later

i personally would hang on to it, they deliver solid power, it is an a/b amp which means your current draw will be a lil more hefty but its solid clean power
