Lookin for a pair of 12's that get really low for under $300, no more than $350. My Volfenhags get pretty nicely low. But I know there are some that can get a little lower. Looking for subs that are each no more than 400 watts RMS, 800 watts RMS total, 1600 watts max total. Trying to match the subs to amp power as closely as possible to get the most out of each with not much wasted.

The reason I ask is cuz sometimes when I make beats, I like to use really deep bass notes when adding bass to the track; notes that are too low to hear in my studio. So I use my car as my tester. The Volfenhags can play just about all the deep stuff I make (and I add some deep bass), but even they can't play the deepest notes that I would like to hear. I know they have something that can, other wise they wouldn't make keyboards that can be tuned as low as mine can. But I don't wanna spend a fortune!

Help a brotha out!

Id go with the RE SE's. They hit the lows very nice if you port them and tune them around 30-35. With that much power you might only have to get one.

Yeah but I like my subs in twos for the fact that I don't have the doe to get a nice box built and I can't build nor have the necessary tools to do so. I don't like the regular single boxes that you find in stores. They look ugly. If I was to get one sub, it would have to look something like this: -
But like I said, I can't build and can't afford to have one built.

What does RE stand for?

And Brodequin, your system just looks loud as hell in that little ass hatch-back. I can hear it just by lookin at it. I don't think I'd be able to handle that. You need some pics of the box from the driver or passenger seat. But nice!

Ike Sound sucks! I mean they are pretty reliable and all but that is where I just got my Punch 700S from. They waited 5 business days before they shipped it. I hate slow shippers!

But the RF Punch HX2's do look pretty good for the price. I'll consider it!

If you look at the specifications on the subwoofers you are considering, if you want REALLY LOW bass, you will want a low 'fs' the lower the better, and a lower qts helps a little too.

In my mind something like the elemental e12k's would be ideal in a large ported box tuned low.

What is a good range for 'fs' and 'qts'? My Volfenhags have an FS of 30Hz and a QTS of .526. Are these good figures? The 12" RE SE's were around the same.
