i see some amps that are around 1200 watts that have 60 amp fuses then i see some that have 40 amp fuses. Is it possible to have a 1400 watt amp with a 40 amp fuse? does fuse size always tell u how powerful the amp is?

I don't think so. I just got a 1400 watt amp and it recommends you use at least a 60. I put an 80 in there just to be extra safe. I got two brand new 80's off ebay for $3.00 shipped.

rember a fuse wont blow unles 3x its rating is put threw the fuse, so, ie 30a will take 90a before it blows, all depends on how the amp utilizes its power, anyone have anything elese to add? go right ahead
