I was driving home from work today and all of the sudden my subs stop working, I hit my hazards pull over and get out too see what going on..I look at my amp no protect light, all connections are fine so wtf. I start playing witht he crossovers and gain o the amp..as soon as i touch my gain the subs start and i drop a duece in my pants. I take my finger off the gain they stop, I push a little harder and all of the sudden the WORSE engine noise in history out of the subs like I mean it sounds like theres a VW in my trunk.
anyone ever heard fo this happening? it used too play loud high pitched tones at will before this happened too.

Don't know about the subs cutting off problem, but my BD1500's both make a high pitched whine when first turned on. One was so bad I had to send it back for repair. RF told me it's just a noisy power supply and dosen't affect power output. On the second amp it only lasts a few minutes then quietly goes away. Other then that the amps worked fine.

the only thing i can think of is that something is wrong with the amp's internals. Bring it back to the shop you bought it from and let them see what it's doing. If you didn't buy it from a shop and don't have a warranty, call RF and see what your options are.
Perhaps the potentiometer(gain control) is dirty. Maybe you could turn it up and down a few times and get it clean.
maybe someone else has some ideas of simple causes to your problem.

gain problem: my audiocontrol 2XS crossover does that on one channel...irritating but someone has offered to fix it for me if i send it to em
as for the whining coming out of the amp itself, my friend had 8 bd1500's and i distinctly remember one or two of em making the same noise. We tried rewiring and all but nothing really helped, didn't induce any noise into the music but was noticeable when the amps were exposed just one of those circuit things heheh
