If you want any SQ with that power, You could look into the amp I use; The PPI PCX-2200. It puts out 800Watts @ 4ohms, @ 12Volts, @ 0.02% T.H.D. It has an imput voltage from like .25Volts to 12Volts! Can you say Line Driver? Excellent crossover, fancy output, and other nice features like Q-Bass.

I think it's safe to say the THD rating for a sub amp doesn't matter a whole lot. Class D amplifiers are used strictly for subs because their higher THD isn't audible when driving subs. I'd just look for a quality made amp that puts out the power you want at the impedance you want. You might look at a class D. Infinity Beta 300's are pretty cheap on ebay I've noticed. 1000x1 @ 4 ohms and class D. Might be more power than you're looking for though.

The audiobahn a2200hc does 800x1@4ohm, and if you upgrade subs later, it'll do 1600x1@1ohm mono.
