if you run them both at 0.5ohm for burps the D2 is 0.4db louder then the modded MMATS

I believe that the mod D300HC works best for burps at .7

this from the guys at MMATS..

...it may work the best according to them however that is probobly for 2 reasons.
1. They only make 0.7ohm coils or 1.5ohm coils not 0.5ohm coils
2. They may have had troubles from the amps blowing at 0.5ohms and don't want to have alot of amps get returned

i picked up .2db by swapping from a mod d300hc to a d2.. both at 1 ohm.. oh and the d2 wont pop if you look at it funny.. the mmats will...

I will have to go with d2 on this one also. it is a hell of an amp, especially at 1/2 ohm.

I know the mmats will pop if you look at it funny.

This is only because the protection is bypassed in order to let the amp pull some current and put out some power.

I think the d-2 is a great knock off of the mmats.
But, I got smart and run RF now.
