I will soon buy an SQ amp for a set of components and I need to know what anyone or everyone knows about the reputation of Zapco and Xtant. Specifically I am looking at the Zapco Studio 150 and the Xtant 302a. The amp will be run to produce 150 x 2 @ 2Ohm and will be mounted vertically or with a little angle (45 degrees min) behind the seat of my pickup. Bass your responses on what you would do with your knowledge of these amps. Tell me what you think, what you have heard or what you believe and maybe throw in a validating reason or two. These are both two really high end amps, but I would like to know if one has the edge over the other in any department.

How about the PPI Tube amps, how do they stack up next to Xtant or Zapco? I have so far found more positive feedback for the Studio.

They are all very good amps and should do about the same job it is up to you on which one you like better (looks) and what options you need on the amp. hope this helps
