Topic: People who know PPI/amp to push 3-way comps
Couple ?s:1. What are the differences between the PPI and the Powerclass (PC) series amps? I know that PPI, the brand, has a good rep overall for making good SQ amps though. Do the PC amps have better SQ/have a better crossover/more underrated?
2. How underrated are the PPI series amps? I can get a good deal on the PPI2360, which has a 90x2 (4ohms) factory rating. But I heard it will do close to 150x2 (4ohms). Is this right?
I'm thinking of purchasing the PPI2360 to power a 3-way CD Tech or Focal set. Given that these sets is pretty high-end, will this amp be a good choice, or should I go with a Powerclass amp instead?

PPI is usually spot on with their ratings, and I would guess that amp is pretty close to its ratings.. Underating is overrated anyway.
The PC (powerclass) series of equipment has better construction than the PPI amplifiers, however, the difference is pretty small except cosmetically.

Right now i am running a PPI 2360 on my MB Quart 2 way comp. set. They sound great.The 2360 is said to put out around 700 max at 2 ohm mono. PPI will tell you never run their ams at 2 ohm mono, but they REALY CAN HANDLE IT.
OK here is a question from me to the pros
