Why does MMATS have the same specs for different amps, at different resistance levels? It seems like making an amp that makes 600W into 4 ohms and letting that number grow with less impedance would be better. Why do they make a separate amp for each impedance? What would happen if I took one designed for 4 ohm and ran it into 2 ohm?

Why?

Because every customer has different needs...
Some need amps to run 4 ohm, some 2, some 1...
Another reason - street class amplifiers.
What would happen if you ran it below what you should?? Probably blow up.

cool, fire in the car. sounds like fun. anyone ever smelled burning leather interior. it's a very interesting smell.

soory, i like fire, oh and shock thereapy. i've zapped myself with every thing from a household electrical outlet, to car engines (ouch) to a lawnmower. warning, never, ever, hold the sparkplug boot of a lawnmower and try to pull start it. bad, bad idea.
trust me, i know.
