okay, while my normal amp is in for repairs, i bought a mmats lm2075 to run my DEI studio components temporarily. i hooked it all up with brand new cable and rcas to my alpine 7840.
i got really bad turn on pop, turn of pop, and it pop everytime i switch songs or eject a cd. i think it basically happens everytime the source goes to zero bits, even on zero volume. this never happened before, but i had different wiring and rcas, so im not sure what it is.
btw, i have 8 guage power and ground, with a 40 amp fuse, and 12 guage speaker wire. big is good.

My D300HC's did the same thing when I first bought them, whenever I turned the system off...POP!!! Used to scare the heck out of me. It quit after about3 days though and hasnt done it since....and this was months ago. Weird.

i read somethin about this in a magazine it was a test report on the d300hc...it said it popped when they turned it on...it was just the s/n ratio it was a lot lower than alot of amps..the s/n was like 60 or 70 somethin like that..thats what the pop is..
