I know you have experience with most of these brands so, using a Nak CD-700 and Dynaudio system 340, what would your amp of choice be? 100-200 watt per channel range. Considering nothing else in the signal chain ie. eq's, crosovers.
PPI Tube amplifier
Milbert
Brax
Genesis
Also, why would you make this choice compared to the others?
One more, what Class are these amps considered?

I'm not Peter, but here is my 2 cents:

The Milbert tube amp is the only class A amp listed, the others are A/B. Also it is the least powerful of the bunch at 30x2. But it is my number 1 favorite amp.

I would also look into a Linear Power 2.2hv.

Well, the PPI Tubedrivers are not in productsion, so I will not even consider them.
The Milbert is an absolutely WONDERFUL sounding amplifier, especially for use above @ 150Hz or so, but would be SEVERELY under powered for a Dynaudio system.

My first choice would be either the Brax X2000, or a pair of Genesis Monoblocks. Both of which I have used in my own car. I now use the X2000's in my car.

Second choice would be either the Brax X1000 or the Genesis Dual Mono.

The Brax "seem" more powerful, They NEVER seem to run out of steam. and they are soooooo damn clean, I consider them to be "laboratory grade". The Genesis are a softer, more "adult" sounding amplifier, highly refined. Not that the Brax is some how "car amp" like, because neither of them sound like a "car amp", but sound like fine esoteric home amps. The Brax just seems to have more "pace" than the Genesis do.........

"Also, why would you make this choice compared to the others?"

These are beyond any doubt in my experience, the finest amps I have worked with in over 20 years in this business. Highly Musical, effortless performance, unequaled build quality........

"One more, what Class are these amps considered?"

They are all Class A/B after a certain point........

Last time we talked you were moving your shop. Is the move complete? Maybey sometime in the next couple of weeks I could come up there and see ya. Also, if the move is complete are you stocking the Brax and Genesis that you recommended?

What is the slope on the crossover for the Genisis?
Does Brax have a website in English that works? And if these have built in crossovers what is the slope on them?
Thanks

GENESIS have 12 dB slope.

Monoblock: HP 15-40 Hz, LP 50-125 Hz, both can work at same time or can be switched off.

Dual Mono: HP 15-200 Hz, LP 20-200 Hz, both can work at same time or LP can be switched off.

MMMMmmmMmMMmmMm... Milbert... and a Zapco for the subs. That's how I'd run a system with a milbert on the front end. I would love to hear this vehicle of yours Peter!

Milbert on some Dynaudio midrange and tweeters, and Linear Power 2.2s on the midbasses and sub(s)...Mmmmm

Or Milberts on B&Ws and Zapcos on the sub in a red BMW 540i...my favorite so far...

Yes........

" Is the move complete?"

Well, yes and no. We have the installation area functioning and we are booking clients again. But the demo facilities are not in yet.........

" Maybey sometime in the next couple of weeks I could come up there and see ya."

Absolutely! We would enjoy meeting with you. Give us a call and set up a time. We are "by appointment only these days".............

" Also, if the move is complete are you stocking the Brax and Genesis that you recommended?"

Stock varies. Hopefully when the demo facilities are up, we can keep as much as possible in stock and available for audition.........

"What is the slope on the crossover for the Genisis?"

They are all second order Butterworth filters........

" Does Brax have a website in English that works?"

Not yet..........

" And if these have built in crossovers what is the slope on them?"

The Brax use cards for their crossovers. They are available in 2nd order or 3rd order alignments.........

" Thanks"

My pleasure!

Absolutely correct........

Yep, that is one sweet sound alright. I used a similar system for some time in my car. However I find that with very revealing speaker systems, the results are superior to have all matching amplifiers throughout the system. All with matched input characteristics, power supply clocks etc etc.......

"I would love to hear this vehicle of yours Peter!"

Oh, it is an absolute MESS! It is NEVER done. Every time we get something new in, it gets tossed in to my old better for evaluation.
And now I am looking to get a different car. I have my eye on a 1972 Olds Cutlass Convertible. That should be a challenge! :^)
