I just figured I would take a poll. I have finally found a sight with good info and knowlegable people so I had to ask.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MMATS AMPS?

HOW DO YOU THINK THEY RANK IN THE CAR STEREO MARKET?

WHAT ARE THEY COMPAREABLE TO?

The amps themselves are powerhouses. The company's customer service is the only drawback in my opinion. Other than that hurdle, they deliver.

I have a D300HC and I absolutely love it. It delivers well over the rated power (about 1700wrms) and you can get them modified by MMATS to put out up to 2200wrms. There are a lot of people who are winning with MMATS equipment which says a lot for it.
I cannot give a brand which it is comparable to. In my eyes the efficiency and power output of the MMATS is unmatched, not to mention the fact that you can buy a DxxHC amp that puts out max power at 0.50ohm, 0.67ohm, 1ohm or 2ohm so no matter what your system you can find a MMATS amp to meet your needs.

I would say that the closest thing to compare it to as far as power output is a US AMPS USA400, however even that amp doesn't compare to the MMATS unless you have a ton of current to provide it because the MMATS is a very efficient class D and the US AMPS is a not so effiecient class A. (hence the MMATS will put out more power if you have a stock electrical system then a USA400 will)

Powerful yes,

Customer Service - Non-existant - almost a joke to call it that.

Reliability - poor at best from my experiences

I've had my MMATS D200hc for years now. It's pounded quite a few subs over the years and is still going strong. No problem with it what so ever. Probley the most reliable amp I've ever owned.

I dont know too much about the new ones, but the old ones like high voltage fine, once you take the protection circuit out of them, which is a bad idea, if you're using them for more than just burping. I use to run my modded D300HC's on Turbostart 16 voltss, loaded to .7 ohms.

But I agree, customer service is non existant. The only amp we have paired it up against is a Mojo 2000, both tested at .7 ohms. The modded D300 beat the Mojo by .4 dB at that load, but when we loaded the Mojo down to .5, it went ahead of the D300's .7 ohm number by .2 dB, and the D300 went into permanent protect at .5 ohms.

Still, the Mmats amps are a killer enrty to the SPL world, super efficient, and pack a punch for their size. [Cool]

In a power v/s size ratio there's no amp more powerfull than the Mmats DHC MODEL amps. [Eek!] [Eek!]

Or don't really care. So what, it's a old topic, still applies. I've had my MMATS for quite a few years. May be a older amp, but still one of the best ones out there in my honest opinion.

I would have to agree with Mrs.Sears on this one. I was always very impressed with the D3000hc's. For the size, they yield the same power as the modded D2's I had, but the modded MMATS were more efficient.

Ya got that right! I used to run 4 Modded D300's, loaded all the way to .7 ohms, on 4 Turbostart 16 volts, and only saw a 1.9 drop in voltage! [Eek!] (17.5 to 15.6)
