Topic: hmmm, RF amp for 2 10W6? (Dukk?)
i have 210W6 and i would like to go RF for them, with 300-400 watts each. if anyone can give me some advice that would be very helpful (box is .8cuft each sealed).i thought of:
- 2 250a2s, this should give about 400 watts to each in 3ohm mono
- 1 bd1000 running 1.5 ohm, this would be major watts, but i have a power200a1 and it doesn't sound anywhere as good as a 250a2, so im thinking the bd1000 won't be as tight as the 2 channel amps...
- a 500a2 or 800a2 in 3-ohm stereo. i dunno about this setup...
- 360a1 at 1.5 mono. apparently the 360 is 1ohm mono stable (at least thats what i hear)...
anyways, im have *no* idea which way i should go. im going more for SQ, than SPL, but i would like 300+ watts a sub...
thanks!

I would go with the bd1000a1 myself. My second choice would be the pair of 250a2s but they will cost almost as much as the bd...The 200a1 doesn't have as much power as the 250a2.

thanks.i could *maybe* get a couple 250a2s for $400-450 CDN, so that would be quite a bit cheaper than a bd, i think.
you don't think the bd will sound "loose" like the 200a1 (even at same volume the 250a2 was much tighter)?
also, im curious what shop do you work at? i live in N Van, eh.

Canada, Michigan, same thing. Hehe, just kidding. Yea, I know your all Canadian, I was just kidding. Yea, the shops around were I live either sell their amps cheap and their subs overpriced or vice/versa. It's really weird. The guy said he'd hook me up with a 250a2 for $200 (american), which really isn't what I was looking for, but from the other prices I've seen it for, it looked pretty good. I kid you not, but I think he wanted me to buy subs too. This is what I was told when I went to Redmonds, saginaw MI. I have another friend that got a 8230 Head for like 180, which wasn't half bad. ------------------ Feel the wrath of a tricked out summit....and try not to die laughing....
