Quick question.....at a reputable store, how much should I expect to pay for a RF 500a2 amp? I'm probably gonna power it to a RFR2210, but I just wanted to know how much the amp would be. I'm assuming the sub will be about 250.....thanks

figure anywhere from 400 to 500 dollars..

dont buy it online, unless from crutchfield, or you'll be screwed.

I won't buy it online, for sure. But crutchfield was selling it for 580 bucks....does the power 500a2 perform that much better than then punch....is it worth the extra money? Thanks again

yes, could someone please us about the difference between a punch and power, in terms of power (power series being more under-rated? stable at lower loads?) and features (power series have extra circuitry and bigger/better cable connects?).

i dont think the SQ difference is real...

Well plan on paying about a dollar a watt for this amp I have seen it numerous times for about $500 a little more a few times once I saw it for $470 but for the most part arround $500. Might I suggest the internet in forms of EbAy I'm looking right now and there are 14 of them on as I speak in fact you can get one on a dutch auction for $324.99....... I bought my 800a2 on there and I got it within 2 weeks and nothing was wrong with it nor has anything gone wrong with it !!!!!!!!!!!!

RDAEX, I understand you are and electronics retailer but why would you recommend against buying from an Internet retailer? Did you have a bad experience with one? I have yet to encounter a problem. My friend's RF 800a4 came yesterday, new, in the box, with 928watt birth certificate and all accessories for $379.00! Thanks to www.bargain-expo.com Sorry, but with prices like these, I cannot afford to feed my habit using local retailers. Just my opinion...
