I just got a 96 dodge stratus, and today i was moving my amp and speakers from a 93' buick regal to my new car. Anyways, my problem is where to run the positive amp cable. In the Buick there was a small resilient material covering a hole in the firewall and i just ran my positive cable through there... but in my new car, there is a grommet with a black wire going through it, and a very small hole about 4 inches above it. I was wondering if there was any way to run my amp cable through the firewall without drilling any holes... if not, could i drill where the small hole above the grommet is? thanks for any help, if you can go in detail, please email me @ duraiden@yahoo.com

ahhh, when i got my new car i was too lazy to go buy a big drill bit for the 4guage so i paid my shop 15 bucks to do it... i *hate* drilling through the firewall...

sucks when there's no un-used grommets.

*Nod* to Fluffy.

Drill the hole or get a shop to if you are unsure. I haven't examined my 2000 Cirrus that closely yet but you can always make a hole...

I drilled a hole in my Stratus for 1/0 and used a firewall grommet. Be carefull with Ohio Gen. Alts in this car. Its the only Dodge with a 125mm. alt. The rest of Dodge is 130 mm.
