I was wondering how everyone sets their gains for dBDrags. Do you set them any higher than you would for a non-competition vehicle? I've always set my gains to avoid audible distortion. I heard a long time ago that once a speaker starts to distort audibly, that it would not play much louder. Is this true or do people set their gains unusually high for competitions. Also, since it is hard to hear slight differences in loudness and distortion at really high spl, should a meter be involved during the process. Thanks for the input.
