i need and amp for two CMP15's. right now i'm looking at Mmats d300hc, and Earthquake D2 (i think that's the one, there's also the 200dhc, are these the exact same amp, or is one better), what other amps could run (1200+ @2x1) or (600+ @4x2)
any question, just ask

The MMATS are optimized for different impedences and the Earthquake is a different amp altogether.

Have you looking into a Linear Power 4.1hv? That amp will kill either of the two mentioned above and last longer because you can run it at 8 ohms and still get over 1600 watts. But the amp will cost more than the others.

ya i know about the Mmats, the d300hc is built to run a 2ohm load. i've got 2 4ohm svc's so thre ya have it. i'm gonna look into the LP now.

****, that things got a MSRP of almost $1600, i got some cash, but not that much.
what kind of current would that thing draw, and will in run 1200+wrms at 2 or 8 ohms.
thats a bad ass amp though, i hate when they don't give you all the information you need on a company website.
