im gonna run them at 1 ohm like i been doing but the reason i wanna know where the protection is is just in case i ever decide to go lower + if i figure out where its at i can prettymuch figure out where its at in my hifonics bx 2005 d which is the one i want to really take the protect out of cause it kicks in way tooo much even at 2 ohms !

Then you obviously have reactive load issues or a wiring problem possibly a bad amp. We were able to run our brutus 2005 at .5 ohm for burps no problem, and all day daily at 1ohm.

i can tell you what to take out but you are taken a chance of blowing the amp at to low of a ohm and are you running 12 volts or 16 to them ...cause if you run 12 volts with the protection out you can only go as low as .5 for burps ,,,if you do 16 volts and try .5 ohms say bye bye to the amps ,,,i know by running them i ran 4 mojos 2000d this year and on 16 volts at 1 ohms i was getting 3000 watts at 1 ohm .. and when i ran 8 i got like 2800 at 1 ohm and they are modded ..my advice is dont do it leave them and work around it ..

Mine did 1/4 ohm out of the box and had to be modded to do 16 volts.
