well i get my VFL400.1 hooked up to my 2 MT 18's runnin 1ohm and just doesnt seem like 4000watts i know 4000watts in nothin to a pair of MT's but still is there foney 400.1 floating around or somthing just doesnt seem right

so, in retrospec of your sig, 2 MT18's + VFL400.1 doesn't = ouch

lol @ doesn't = ouch

sounds like there's another problem. I ran my MT 18" off ONE channel of my colossus genXX and it got loud...

They really come alive on a 18v setup.

about everything does. the moderately rated Orion 2500d jumps off the hook at 18 volts, well over 4kw....

Drop the impedence,they work very well off of one battery,we ran 1 amp, added a second score went up 2.5 DB added 2 more score went up 2.1 more DB.All off one battery, with 8 runs of power, and 8 runs of ground.The battery was a stinger 2150.They can be run at .25 ohm. at your own risk, we never had a problem, but all we did was burp it.

2 400.1s strapped on my solox destroyed the cone! lol had them running off 4 yellowtops and stock alt. those amps draw quite a bit of current

my experiece with American Bass amps they like high voltage and low impedeces ...... my 150.1 would play off a 50 amp fuse @ 1 ohm, but not off a 160 amps at 1/4 ohm
