I just tested the new Kicker 2500.1s today and guess what. They are the loudest ampliefier(other than the crown) I have ever tested in a street car. Louder than the Colosus, 9.0, the RF T3000, the Crossfire 2000d/4000d, the Mojo, the D3/2/5, AB 200.1/150.1 etc. It beat them all and I have tested each and everyone of them. Anyone that gained 3db from the Kicker to the Colosus was doing something horribly wrong with it. Thats like saying the Colosus is 4 times as powerful, and can do 10000 watts lol. It doesn't make any sense This amp has serious nuts and if you don't believe me wait till SBN.

First off, whats BS?? I started out testing them at 1ohm, full tilt burps no prob. I was getting a 153.5 out of them with a street B setup in my Explorer. So I put in my dual 1ohm coils(closer to 1.3-.4) so like a .7ohm load. Full tilt burps, never went into protect, 154.0. I'm a believer. And like I said, if someone wants to see, come to spring break. I have stock off the shelf amps as well. Think about it guys. These amps are CEA certified at over 2600 watts at 2ohms. They are very nice amps.

we need to talk then....I did a straight swap out from Kicker to Colossus

same impedence
same voltage
same subs
same box
same everything only swapping amps

145.5 on Saturday with Kickers
147.8 (148.0 in testing) on Sunday with Colossus

Now I am in now way doubting you, but you and I need to talk if you don't mind. I'll tell you what I was doing and we can share info.

Hit me up in PM with your number.

I had no problems with protect in my set up at all. Strong amps, but in my tests, came out short, but I'm always open to listening to other views.

Carlton, you didnt quite have all your ducks in a row saturday night with the kickers either and never got to test them on the termlab other than the one burp in the lane. I'm not saying the collossus wouldn't beat them as I think it would as well, but I dont think your whole 3db gain was just from the amp swap.
