OK, I was just wondering, if I have a wall in my car and a cop pulls me over and decides to give me a fix-it-ticket, I technically HAVE TO remove it.
Has anyone run into this?
I just think it would REALLY suck, if it's not a removable wall!
I'm thinking of buying a second car but don't want to have to.

9 times out of 10 they would not give you a ticket. I had got stopped for speeding and when they seen my wall they wanted me to remove it, i told them no because I had convexed mirrors for the blind spot. They let me go, same thing goes when I get spot-checked

Removal is not necessary if your vehicle complies with the local statutes for required rear vision. Most places will allow a blocked rear view mirror if you provide additional side view or convex blind spot mirrors.

And what are these convexed mirrors? the little circles you stick on there?

I'm sure that you can avoid taking it out if you add additional side mirrors. The are so many company vans that have the rear view blocked, and all big rig trucks have the same situation.

I'm not going to put another miror on it like semi's with the huge foot long extensions, that'd be... ummm... interesting.

they are little mirrors that stick on the outside corner of your stock mirrors...maybe 1/3 the size and show what your blind spots are. tilt your head to the right and they look like this

You shouldnt have to remove it because if it is fiberglassed in there or bolted how ever you did it ...Its a part of the car...There for there is nothing wrong with it.

Yeah Kyle, come on. We can stick some chrome stacks on coming up on each side of your car and put a few flags on the front corners with a overside load sign painted bright yellow. It would look sweet.
But on to the point at hand. Kyle yes I believe those little sticky cirlces would be sufficient to serve your needs. Also my chevette runs, just needs some bondo work . Come on 50 bux and its yours. MINT!

I know here locally when I was not even pulled over but followed into my moms apartment complex and officer stopped just to ask about the red on my rear windows.
I told them no I cant see through it but I have a wall in the back seat so it would not matter if it was not there. I also stated that it was my understanding that if you still have rear visibality its all good. Then I went to say that I have 2 side mirrors and have rear visibility.
They didnt have ANY problems with it said they just wanted to know what the red was cause they never seen it before. They were quite kewl about it.
Also a few other times I have been stopped I haev not been bothers in the least also...

When you get a fix it ticket, it goes into a computer, and if they pull you over again and it shows up in the comptuer and you haven't gotten it fixed they can cuff ya and stuff ya

They only give u crap if u drive by the pool hall at 2 mph, with 150 db at 50hz, shaking every building in a one block radius. $480 sound ordinance ticket, much worse then a $100 fix it ticket. BUT in my blazer I got pulled over for not having a light on my licsense plate, they gave me crap about the wall. I told them I have two mirrors with rear view capabilities, went into a schpeel about truck drivers, and they said they would look into it. They asked if I did the work myself, complemented me on the install, and I haven't heard from them since.
