I don't post on here much but I thought I might start to. I have a 12 inch Kicker 99 Solo (circle) driven by a 280 watt Kicker amp with gains set correctly. I don't like how it sounds. I want a 12 or 15 that sounds pretty good as well..preferably a 12. Prolly a medium to large class D amp powering it. I want this sub to take a good amount of power. I also prefer a sealed box. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

for a single 12" setup I'd recommend looking at an Audiomobile Mass sub powered by maybe a 500d. or u could get a 1000d and 2 MAss subs =]

for info on the audiomobiles go to http://www.audiomobileinc.com

How bout a JL 12w3 or 15w3 and the class D of your choice. I like the way my Punch BD1000 sounds compared to the other class D amps out there. Some of them don't sound too well for sound quality in my opinion. They have all kinds of subs you could use though. What price range are you considering for the whole setup? How big of an enclosure do you want in your vehicle?

good luck with your system,

hmmm...the mass 2012 is a great choice. However, there are drivers with similar performance sq-wise and spl-wise for less money. $300 is ALOT of money for one woofer. I know i plug these alot, but someone DID review the stryke 1504 and said it sounded PHENOMENAL. It is a 15" sub and is ONLY $99 if you preorder now (I sound like a salesman...NO I DO NOT WORK FOR STRYKE). Check out www.hometheaterforum.com and there is a review of the "Stryke Lambda" subs. That's another name that they go by. I think one or two of those with 700-1000 watts rms total would absolutely blow the solo away. Those are bar-none the best price-performance sub on the market IMO (IMO IMO IMO).

www.stryke.com and www.audiomobileinc.com for more info. in terms of small box performance, NOTHING compares to the mass 2012. HOWEVER, for the price of one mass, you could get three stryke 15's
