Okay I already ordered 4 Rockford BD1000 amps to run 4 JL 15w3's. Now the problem is later I would like to add 4 more BD1000's so roughly 2000watts a sub, but I have to make a choice now on the 15w3d2 or 15w3d4. If I get the d2's then i will only be putting 500watts to each sub for daily drive and whatever that amp puts out at 1ohm during comps. My question is would it be worth it to put 2000watts to a sub rather than 1000watts? Would another $2000 worht of amps really give me that much more output? Also can the BD1000 run at 1ohm for 10second burst? Decisions decisions decisions.

i always hate to be the bearer of bad news, 2k for 4000watts is really good, if you would look around im sure people are selling bmf1000d's which are comparable or better for 350 each or 1400$. i saw one of your earlier posts. you can get DD direct this year, at ddaudio.com at 40percent off retail, they don't use dealers much anymore. they wanted to make their speakers more affordable. im not sure how much your paying for the 4 jl15's but dd makes a speaker in the same price range that is great, the 3515 $199.95each. with box/sub specs at their web site. im just trying to help save you some money. last year extreme 1-2 i did 162.5 with 2 3512's and 4kwatts, so they are good. good luck
