that's depends on where you live too... i'd say there's at least 10 times more cars sporting mtx and 5 times more cars sporting rf than kicker in my area...

Well I guess it would first be a money thing. Can you make more off a certain brand and does the brand have several other places to be bought in your area. Also do you have any contacts or knowledge on the warranty return process for any of the brands. Personally I would get Kicker (L7 and ALMA) but I have run MTX for years and I have always liked RF but from a business standpoint what is your goal with the product lines you are going to carry? I know too much info and all you want is what would sell better.... hehehehe MTX RFL!!!!!!!

Sell the stuff people can afford, don't scare them away, a lot of people avoid stereo west here in omaha and go to places like best buy and circuit $hity (sorry, bad experienceS) because the lines at Stereo West are to high end, and they translate that into over priced, which is very false.

I have sold all three of these lines, and I think from a business aspect, kicker is the line you should carry. I won't go into the reasons here, but email me if you want details. Sorry, can't give out all the trade secrets...

Best advice I can give you, is sell a line you believe in and can actually recommend to people. You don't want them coming back because the product is inferior. Choose a like Audiobahn or kicker where you have a few levels of product to choose from. This will help with customer loyalty and upgrading. Kicker and Audiobahn both have fairly good reliability (except for that glue thing) so you won't be spending alot of time dealing with warranty issues. Talk to both reps and see which rep you think will give you better service in the future. Which rep is easier to get ahold of, calls you back quickly, etc.
If you are selling a good product, the profit margin will be there. Just don't sell something you don't believe in.

I dint know this was a write in vote.. DEFINITLEY go with Audionbahn or Crossfire if you are open to those options. Much better products for the $$$$ vs the Big name brands.. Plus they have Bling Bling.. LOL

Basically, you are opening a business and want the best seller. I would say Kicker would be that best seller. A lot of people have reservations about MTX due to product quality in the 80's. Hifonics, although is nice, will never outsell (and make you money) like Kicker.

Hate to say it but with the most flash for cash and most bang for buck I'd think about the Audiobahn stuff. Not saying that Kicker or RF or MTX, or any other brand won't sell well. It is just that most people who honestly buy those brands buy on name alone while the majority or people who walk into a stoer are looking for the best bang for buck, and then you have the normal highschool mentality of "Geesh...look at that big ass flashy chrome amp, It only costs $399.99 and puts out like 2k of power, plus it's CHROME". No matter what lines you decide to carry Steve always remember that you have to carry something and start out with a line that will hit your target audience. If you want to target audiophiles and they are in your area then shoot for brands they would have the most interest in, if on the other hand your target auudience is the normal highschool kid, with limited funds, carry a line that would catch their eye with the flash, and their or their parent's wallet with the cost.
Just my thoughts on the topic at hand.
