I hope that makes you feel better Ryan, it's not that pioneer is BAD, nor that others are better, but better is a matter of PERSONAL taste, and I've never seen a BAD review, from "Stereo Review" or " Car Stereo Review". I feel that if review magazines have something good to say, they say it in many ways, over and over again, but never say anything BAD about any unit. Therefore, every unit out there has it's merit in it's price range, for the dedicated person whose budget and features will be suited. Enjoy your Pioneer, the rest of you enjoy your Magnadynes, Lear jet, and Pyramid head units. Keep rockin'

Well hmm...I didnt see the article but let me guess. They gave all "good" reviews but the pioneer just did better. Hmm..Look in the mag. I bet you that they are all advertised in there. If not Pioneer for sure. Would you write a bad review about someone that pays you? No. Now I am not saying that pioneer is bad BUT take the review in with all the other factors. Just my 2cents..

Generally, magazines try not to review, and definitely do not print articles on, gear that they will find disfavor in. They get enough flak when they don't apllaude a product enough!!

If any of you are into computer and have looked at www.tomshardware.com you well know what REAL reviews are all about. That man dont give a truck what any of them big corps say to him. Wish everything was like that and wasnt so influenced by money.
My brother has a older kenwood and it plays extremly clean. Even though I would have to agree that a no-knob cd-play isnt the greatest. Alpine for me!

I just want to go on the record to say that I've seen some truly POS headunits come out over the years and I haven't seen any of them get the flaming they deserve from a magazine. I've also seen magazine reviews in purposeful error. (A lie?)

I guess they all have their good marks, but I can't bring myself to buy a Pioneer or Sony again....bad exp. with their equipment in the past. However, most will never slam a piece, but just offer their opinions
Take care and rock on

I have owned both brands in the past, but of the two I would say that Pioneer was better. I had to return the Sony twice for repairs, but the Pioneer never gave me any worrys, 'cept for skipping due to the heavy Mackin' basslines. Of course that was several years back. I would consider owning a Pioneer again, but I would also take a Sony (if someone gave it to me). ------------------ THE MACK aka BIG POPPA www.Geocities.com/Motorcity/Flats/1041 Mack Daddy-- You better roll with the big mack, the man with the game Mack Daddy--
