Well bottom line...if both mics at a show are down...even if it would be down like 10 db...its still down for both lanes. So no advantage. Unless one lane is down like 10 db from then the other. then that an issue..

I see where you are coming from but i dont understand why people complain about this so much, yes some mics like the linear x and the b&k meter read lots lower than the termpro and the audio control and acoustics. i know of people that want to get tested on a linear, yeah it is going to be a lower reading but if you can gain on a linear think of your number on a termpro and audio control. so if you want to see high number then test on the higher reading mics but you want to get on a mic that you know is tough to score on but you can score well for that mic then do it, i jumped on the chance to be meterd on our linear x when we first got it, yeah it was disapointin to see the score but when i got to the point i wanted on the linear i loved seeing my scores on the audio controls and termpro

that is my view

It is sad people call the low mics low, instead of how it should be, inflated mics being high.

The mics you see reading low as you call it are accurate, and will be implemented at world finals.

The mics everyone likes to see with the high numbers are inflated and are not accurate.

Well what is an accurate mic/meter? Kinda all relative. Know what I mean?
