I'm replacing the stock components in my car for better sound. I'm replacing the 5 1/4" speakers in the front door with Infinity Kappa component system 50.1cs (168.00) and the 6x9's on the rear deck with infinity Kappa coaxials model 693.1i (150.00). I will power these with a USAcoustics amp model USX4085 (250.00). Is this a quality system for the money? Can I get these cheaper somewhere else?

No sub(s)? That's an nice setup to go for if you mount it where it sounds good, but with only a 5 1/4" component set, you'll be hurting for mid-bass, and low-bass will be nonexistant. Stick a 10" w/200w in there somewhere if you're tight for space/cash, ooorrrrr... Remove your back seats and put up a wall.

Really you do need to put a sub woofer in the set-up some where. I'd recommend a 15 inch Shocker. It is a great buy for the price and loud too (if that's the way you want to go).

When I get more money i plan on putting 3 12's in a box in my trunk and run them off a seperate amp, or two. (I have lots of trunk space in the Grand Prix)
