Ok heres what I have for a system note: This IS what I will have to use since ZERO money will be spent on other equipment
4 Ga main power wire Pyramid main fuse Kenwood KDC 216-Hu (hey, I love it) Mansoor 5 Band equalizer Mansoor 4" Co-axils (mounted ????????/ in front) Cerwin Vega 6.5" in the rear hatch 2 Hazelton woofers powered by a Rf 160.2 the 4" will be powered by a Pioneer GM-X312 35x2 amp
the 6.5" will be powered by a Pioneer GM-X322 35x2 amp
I have a Pyramid 4 way distro block and 2 other metra distro blocks for my ground distros.........
this will be going in my 86 Pontiac Acadian
some of the equipment isnt the ebst, but will function for what I need it
the box for the woofers is a 2 chamber box so each woofer has 1.25 cu ft of air space (they only require 1 so a lil big will be fine)
I'm just wondering what you hatchback owners encountered when installing your stereos

im sure u will upgarde later on. I mean i started 2 years ago with 2 10" rockfords... and now roughly 3000watts and a DD9515.
as for hatchbacks the only problem that i have encountered is rattles and some minor hatch jumping.... but otherwise they kick arse for good deep bass.

Yea, my bass is loud as hell, but it sounds like ****. I'm gonna work on the rattles in the spring

the only problem in the hatch that i have encountered is the rattles and the jumping of the hatch but that can be fixed on some cars with a few minor adjustments to the latch. In my 300 zx i had hatch jumping but it did great for spl. I think that you will be pleased. Bo

I have 2 12w'3s with 400wrms a piece in a hatchback and it sounds tight as hell. From what ive been told(could be wrong) if positioned correctly in a hatchback your trunk acts like a loaded horn enclosure. Anyways, hatchbacks are the best in my opinion.
