a friend was telling about a car he saw at a show near his hometown where a car posted a floor reading of 158, but pulled a dash reading of 166? is that possible?

my 90 dakota does .2 or .3 better on the dash legal than on the floor w/doors closed. forgot to try outlaw,

Yes a car i did years ago gave it's loudest reading on the dash (apart from putting it in the port - port wars style). We had re-made the dash though which helped it do this
