i need to know what i can cram into my 3.5 cu ft total internal space to get loud as possible....
I know it is not a lot of space, and that for spl i should tune high....
Its in the trunk of a old cavalier, you can see it in my sig....
What will get hell@ loud and be able to be powered by my A7?
One DD 9012?
2 15w3s sealed?
1 L7 15?
Any other subs?
can i get a adjustable port?
Thanks again
AC

I'd go for the 9012 ported out of those choices. It'll pretty loud with a good box any how so don't tune too high cause you have to listen to it everday. Or just go the adjustable port...

Either the 9012 or a 9015, either sub in 3.5 cubes ported, tuned to peak at the resonant frequency of your vehicle. I'd probably take the 9015, as all around it'll get louder than the 9012.

If they are sealed, yes, without a doubt it'd be louder w/1 sub ported, especially a 15, but the 9012, 9512 or the Shockers can all slam in that amount of space. I personally would just get a single 15 with that amount of space, cause it'd work too, and probably be a little louder too.

ok well heres what i got....
how loud do you think that my current stuff is?
2 12w3s ported backfiring in a truck off of an A7?
Now, can you try and guestimate what i would be hitting with those other subs?
single shocker 12?
9015?
9012?
Thanks
AC
i really am all confused and don't really know what to do. I saw an eclispe ti in a ported box that hit hella hard do can a single sub really beat two?

single 12" Shocker Xtreme in 3.3 cu ft ported box and your A7 = a lot louder than 2 JL 12w3's!

I installed a trio of 12w3's sealed in my buddy's Saturn powered by a ppi 21400.2 and he was doing 145.6, and then I built a box for 2 of them, and with less power, they were slighty louder. Now he's the d4's instead of the d6's and he's doing low 148's w/1,400watts, so you should be around the same cause that's the same power from thhe a7, and if you got the shockers, like the mini's or xtreme's, you should be doing low 150's. I'm not sure how much louder the DD'a are, but you should be doing 150-151 easy. I saw a guy with the 9512's and an a7hc, and he was doing low 150's certified. I also seen 2 9512's and 4 american bass 1000d's and he was only doing 149's, but you should be able reach 150db rather easy. If you wanted 1 15, go with the 9515's, they can get you 148-150 w/1,200watts I don't know about the DD's, but the shockers have a steep roll off above 60hz. They don't sound as good as the w3's IMO. But they do get louder

well low bass is actually 35-55hz, and above is generally higher bass upto 80hz, and then it's not bass anymore, it's midbass. Shockers are using tuned to 40-45hz I think, and they peak at in the mid 50hz region. The loudest trunk score from finals was Mike Stiers, he hit like a 154 or 155 running a d2 and 2 extremes, so you can do anywhere from 147-150 w/1 12.

How about a 15" W3 ported, I have mine in a 3 cu. ft. box ported to 37 hz, and its pretty loud. With a bigger box, more port, and tuned higher, you could be around 150.

can i fit two 9012s in there?
Could i fit two shockers?
would one 9015 be better?
I kinda like two sub setups but i don't know what i want.
I could possibly get like 4 cubes if i pushed it so what do you all think..Thank you to all i have been emailing but i wanted to check here again.

All of them are excellent choices, the 9015, 9512, Shocker x-treme 12, JL W3 15, I think with the right box and power any of those can achieve what you want. But its hard to make up the area of a 15, from a 12. And you have plenty of cu. ft. for a ported 15.

what about two 3512s in 3.45 cubic feet tuned to 35 hz. WinISD give me a amzing graph with this set up. What would cost run me if i looked for used?
Will this work?
Would me cadence A7 be sufficient for the time being?
Thanks

I think you should go with the Shocker Xtreme 12, its the right size for its peak performance and it gets LOUD.
