But the main reason I say it is because we're currently the largest JL dealer for hundreds if not thousands of miles... and I'd hate to see this happen for several reasons... but hey, maybe it'll bring the best out of the situation.

JL is not going into Best Buy. I am not sure how this rumor got started, but I can assure you it is not true.

JL retail prices are always 100% higher than dealer cost. dealers can get charge full reatil and get it on JL subs because JL's dealer network protects the pricing and (by contract) won't whore out the product. If a dealer sells JL product for less than the minimum advertised price (set by JL), they can loe their delaer status. I have seen 2 JL dealers lose the line because they were selling the product too cheaply.

Let me ask you guys this. Why don't my local dealers sell the JL stealthbox at a lower price than MSRP?? I would buy the middle seat box for my FS Ram pickup with the 12W3, but I'm not paying $500 for it.

They have the JL W7 at the prices listed above....IE 12w7 $530
I believe they have a January shipment coming in......

Because we the dealers have agreed to sell JL Audio at that price so not to undercut another authorized dealer.

Hey Winslow....do you work at the Freemans on Independence? I've used you guys a few times and must say have been really happy with the work. Just was supprised to see someone else from the Queen City! Oh and on the last comment about finding JL gear very cheap on the net....check and see if they advertise the fact that they are an authorized dealership. I doubt it very much...and if thats the case...they can't honor the 2 yr warranty....like in the case of Car Stereo Warehouse alittle further up the road (you know what I am talking about Winslow....lol).

I've owned this stealthbox.....I LOVED IT...Hidden,,out of thw way,,beautiful downfiring sound..... AWESOME....
Only thing I didn't like about it was it made the middle seat pretty hard and alittle higher then the other seats.
