First off I have to say that I compete in IDBL not DB Drag since GA and the whole southeast has a lack of Db Drag events.(Wayne?) I just retired my current system due to IDBL rules not allowing me to transfer points to another vehicle. I can change classes and keep them but not cars. It really sucks. What does everyone think of 12 XLC 10's with 3 punch 800@2, with 8 Die hard Rangerover batteries, and audio control line drivers. There will be plenty of cabin mods. Ex: a completely fiberglassed floor, raised 12 inches in order to follow IDBL rules. There will be alot more than that done but I have a few secrets to keep. Be surprised what you can acheive by appling different types of vehicle mods with one another. Some work alot better together. Just wanted to hear some opinions on this one, since it will be my first strictly competion vehicle.
Apply what Virtual Technologies has done to your vehicle, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Sounds like a good set-up to me. I've been happy with my RF subs in the past, and I haven't heard many complaints, if any, on the XLC. Would going with DVCs be more advantagous to competing?
If I'm doing my math right, 2 10s = 1 12, 2 12s = 1 15, therefore 4 10s = 1 15, and 12 10s = 3 15s? Would you be able to win more events in the 3 - 4 woofer class with 3 15s running off of 1 800a2 each? Just a thought, not even sure if they would fit.
Either way, good luck and have fun doing the new system. I always like diving into a new project

My 12 10 ten system is still under consideration. Anything may change in the next couple of months be construction begins. I'm still pondering doing another ayatem in my everyday driver and boing cabin mods beneath all of the carpet and trim panels. It can be done, but i'm not sure if I want to have 2 competing vehicles. IDBL will let me compete with two but I'm not sure about my wallet. 6 DVC 12's on 3 800@2 should be able to do a 152-153 easily. That would allow me to take 1st at almost all of the local shows in GA, but regionals and finals will hurt. Only time will tell if the Neon will be back in the lanes.

Rather than spread your money too thin with two vehicles, I would concentrate all my time, effort, and money into one vehicle. And if I were shooting for a particular cone-area based class, I'd pack on the power! If you don't get more, you will more than likely take second to someone who has a sitload of power. At least do six of those amps!
