What do you think about useing a 1997 S-10 regular cab (cut through, from the back window down) with 2 dd 18's and 4 US Amps 400 X's?

Sure I can do that. So do you think it would be possible to set a world record in that class with that set up?

He's right. Plus, I doubt the bed of the truck is 18 inches tall. When you take into consideration the thickness of the wood, 18 inches of speakerr and a tonneau cover, you may not have enough height. I'm pretty sure you coulkd od the same number with 15's and get a higher score as well. Plus the wheel wells really narrow down in the back, so your port would no be as straight as you need it to be.

My 2 cents...

I say that u should get some concept quads or something like the dd's u thought of because you are going to need massive power.

I would also look into the new atomic thunders and the treo csx.

I dont know much about them except they handle LOTS of power and get real loud.

what ever you do get it sure will be LOUD!!!!

damn it why do people like you have to be against me!!! Im in the same class with o0nly 1500 watts and 2 tempests.

------------------

1 tempest + 4.0 ft^3 box=137db

SOON to come: 2 tempests and 2 cadence z1200.

here I come ss1-2!

do the enclosure like my friend terry did for his in ss1-2nw class. the s10 has more room then his truck does i would say so you might be able to squeeze the 18s like this but lil or no port area.

Hey, it's loud enough. Hertz my ears. Just as long as the meter hears it. Stiffy, use your imagination, I did. Come to a show that I'm at and see it in person. It's nothing special, but it works. Let me get a good picture of it finished and I will post.

Wheres the next show you'll be at?

The way your Certified score is, it worked good

My cover is a "Snugtop" (brand name) Cover... It was $500 unpainted and $1250 painted. I had it painted to match my truck.

I will have more pics up next week on my stats page after my new box is done. The pics on my stats page are of my old cut-through that was done last year by pure sound (ozark, mo), and it served its purpose around here at local shows but I didnt do CRAP at big shows. I really dont want a topper so im going into SS NW class.
