Right now, I have a 5channel Infinity Kappa 255a amp.. which is 50x4, 200x1. Well, the sub channel blew and I am trying to decide what I Should do. Does anyone have an opinion of these amps or Infinity? I could either get this fixed, or get a $400 credit (the amp retailed at $920) .. to use on a 1-channel and go buy a 4-channel on the internet. This is the 2nd Infinity Kappa product I've had break, and I'm wonderin why the prices on this line are dropping like flies.. Anyone know? Please reply

get the credit, by a new 4 channel and sub amp, or get the kicker 5 channel-sick,sick power for a 5 channel amp 50x4+i belive 300 or so watts on the sub channel plus it comes with a sub control nob.

At the place i used to work at, i sold 3 of these and everyone i sold, the customers were blown away by the power and sound of it.
that is one amp worth he money.

The Infinity Kappa amps are THE worst amps I have ever owned. The crossover broke within one week on mine. The replacement amp's crossover blew two months later. Crap, IMO.

Yeah, I'm definitely takin the credit, but I gotta use it on somethin Crutchfield carries... That Kicker 5 channel you mentioned is in Crutchfield but its only rated at 40x4 + 200x1.

Conclusive, what did you think about the sound quality on the Infinity Kappa amp?? I'm thinking of getting a Rockford Punch Power 250.2 and bridging it, to send to my JL W3.. then I'm gonna find a 4 channel around 75x4 on the internet.. but I dont really wanna spend much over $300.. but you can stretch that pretty wise if you shop on the net.. Anyone got suggestions??

TRUST ME

I put one in an old vw bus, running orion cobalt 6.5,6x9's, and 2 xtanat a series 12's and was absolutly sick on how hard and loud it hit. My ears were ringing for at least 20 minutes after i got out of the van.

I pit another one in a F250 extend cab running boston acostics all the way around, rally series in the front and back and Boston Pro subs. Awosome is what the customer said. He was grinning ear from ear.

That amp is very underated is alls i have to say. It would be a wise investment. If you do get it, get a 4 gauge wiring kit for. The amp will do 290 watts at 12 volts, and it'll do 390 at 14 volts and that is something i can belive.

Im kinda wishing it was around when my girl got her setup, but she ended up getting the sony 5 channel, but im not dissapointed with that one eaither, as that one rocks also.

Thats an underated 40 watts.

So you think i'm better off getting that 5-channel amp? I'm not sure what to do... I was just considerin getting that Punch Power and gettin maybe a Sony Mobile ES 4 channel, or maybe the Kicker Impulse at 70x4.. or the DEI 500....

It also would be nice to step up in watts a little.. I dont think the Kappas 50x4 powered my comps enough... so my mind is really set on gettin one of those 3 amps.. unless anyone knows of better ones in that price range.

those would be good choices, but you know what i think about the kicker and i belive it would power your speakers well enough.
