Now that I have all of the guy's attention .
Have there been many competitors out there running stage equipment in their cars? I think I remember a guy running EV subs in his truck, but what about Community, Reinkous-Heinz, Crown, Cresq, Noitrix (connectors), Messa-Boogy (guitar and bass amp speakers), Marshall (guitar and bass amp speakers), Crate speakers, etc.
Would they work in the mobile environment? I've seen some competitors use Alesis eqs and cross-overs (some of the finest equipment you'll ever find near a stage-front!!!)
Oh well, those were just some of the thoughts that kept me out of the really good job interviews

Well kinda..... There's not too much difference between a JBL woofer and it's stage parent. Also, the Stroker is pretty much right out of the stage cabinet..... Of course there are the guys who get RadShak 15" guitat spkrs and put them in their rides! Generally, stage speakers need larger cabinets since space isn't the first concern.

Ber, I use an Alesis MEQ-230 for Eq in my car. At one point in my twisted little mind, I was going to use a pair of NAD 2200A power amps for the system in my bug (2x200 8 ohm stereo, 2 ohm mono capable!). But after much consideration for mods needed to make the amps run right on 12v, I've decided against it. I did see a guy once at finals in Dallas with a pair of Marshall amps running 40 12's in his van... he sucked at spl, I think he hit a whopping 143 or something.....

For the ultimate in professional audio equipment, check out the Crown 10,000 watt amps (circa Da' Bomb) and P.audio 24 inch professional subwoofers. Both could be adapted to car audio use with a little creative thinking.
