what is the cheapest subsonic filter on the market besides f-mods

Put a cap inline with the sub. Of course, you will need to find the right value, and due to the low x-over point, it will be a pretty big cap.

Cheapest. Well if you need any sort of processor - use an Audio Control. Most of their stuff has subsonic filters in it so I would consider the filter free...
