How do you tell where to set your high and low pass crossovers? Does it depend also on the type of music, such as rock compared to techno.

Also what would be the final crossover point if you've got it set differently on the amplifier, the equaliser/crossover, and also speakers with crossover networks?

the best way to set your crossover point is to try several setting with each type of music oyu listen to, the crossover points will affect speaker response and therefore have either a positive or negative affect on the sound of the system. doing this will give you a good general idea. i run a threeway system (and only use two) i pass my front at 70 and up, and let my sub play 90 and down, for my equipment and my ears this works best for me but everbodies is probably different.

as far as the final point when several compenets are uses, if you a high passing the the highest setting along the line will govern, once again the lowest will govern for low pass

as far as the xover point between your subwoofers and your front stage.....the lower you cross them over, the farther forward your midbass is and if your subs set up pretty well, you will get a better"bass up front" illusion. but that too depends on your musical preferances.....like sqhope said...let your ears decide.

hey sq, how ya like the world of tube driver? I finally talked to him and he's got two left, they're both td1500s with the brushed tops. they were the original amplifiers that were in the Sniper. He hasn't got me a price yet but probably around 3-400.

koolade,

if you see this email me about those amps (i love them) i was hoping to get another td750 (to stay under 301 watts ) but if it matches the one you sold me i will probably get it. i used the td750 on both my front stage and my sub i probably don't need the extra power but hey what are you going to do.
