i was looking into investing into a 5 band eq to make my focals come alive evn more, my qustion is, is there a big audible difference. what will an eq do for me?

Of course, you'll be able to change + or - db on certain octaves. I'm running an 11 band trunk mount eqalizer, works wonders.
