so yeah like the title says i got a kicker kq30.

its pretty cool, i noticed a big difference in the quality of the sound.

does anyone have this one? how do you like it?

oh and it says to lower all the gains on the amps, and raise all the input/output level controls on the EQ. i dont understand.

so basically this is something of a preamp.

i don't have that eq, but the lowering of the amp gains and raising the eq input/outputs is to increase the output voltage, to clean the signal up a little. That is why you have increased quality of sound, the amps don't have to work as hard.
