go to radio shack and buy a little block...there will be the connections on the back...but you have to solder the ground and the signal together. i think there are 4 on each block...if you need more just buy two and zip tie together.

They dont, but you can probably order one from radioshack.com. It would be really expensive after taxes and **** though. You coming down to Sicily anytime soon? [Wink]

yeah.. use an amplifier.

low voltage, medium ouptut impedance unbalanced inputs turn into high voltage, low output impedance unbalance outputs, and everybody wins.

are you talking about splitting up one signal to 8 amplifiers? for SPL, SQ?

Take a small car audio amplifier, plug the RCA to be driven into it, then on the ouput side, the - goes to the outer ring of the RCA and the + goes to the post in the middle. RCA plugs should be easy to get ahold of, or simply buy 8 runs of RCA wire and cut the plugs off one end to get bare wire.

please note, most amplifiers will have plenty of output ability in terms of voltage, so start with low gain, x-overs bypassed, and no boost unless you want to potentially fry the input stages of downstream components, and MAKE FREEKING SURE YOU DON'T HAVE THE - TO THE POST AND THE + TO THE OUTER RING if you do this, you'll also need a shaman to do the revival dance over your equipment.

i have used this technique a couple times with no real issues, tell me how it comes out

We made one.

A bunch of stereo sockets, a little black-box, some wire and a bit of solder.

1 in 8 out RCA splitter.

Cost around £10 in parts, €15 or so.

The amplifier idea sounds good, a homemade multi channel line-driver.

We didnt need very high input volts though, SPL only.

well i have summoned my creative powers and made me a signal box splitter with level control and indicator!! [Wink]

basically take apart a phoenix gold line driver, unsolder the rca and power plugs, hard wire these connections to rca plugs which then form what is essentially a large 12 way splitter! and lead power wires out of the side!! [Wink]

label machines are good!!
 -

all the stuff excluding the pro line driver was 13 quid from maplins, the other team member provided the line driver for the project!!
