I need a crossover with lowpass and subsonic filtering ability and i would like it to be 24db/octave. does anyone know of an IN-DASH model that does this? if not, what are some good non indash models to look at?

Thanks!

I believe one of the audio control units is a crossover.. the three.1 I think. (don't quote me on it) [Smile]
I think eclipse also makes one..
not sure about being 24db/oct though

Yeah, the Three.1 does have a programmable 24dB xover. But what's the use. You have to put the xover module in the unit (preset at 90Hz) before installation. I think this defeats your purpose.

Why do you need an in-dash xover? Do you want to be able to change your xover settings on the fly?

I have a Coustic EQ-7 which has an adjustable xover, but again, it's on the back of the unit and needs a small flathead screwdriver.

So why do you need an in-dash xover? Or more appropriately, how much access to the xover controlls do you need? Is this for space limitations? Do you also want some EQ bands in addition to the xover?

Oh yeah, the Three.1 does not have a subsonic filter. Neither does this Coustic EQ-7.

my subs are going to be put into a box that is tuned at 45hz for local comps and getting loud and then plugged down to 35hz for street bumpin so i would need to change my subsonic x-over point on the fly, also the x-overs on my dei1100d are only 12db/oct or 18db/oct (can't remember) i would like to go a little steeper w/ the 24db/oct. i just figured an in dash would make it easy for me to adjust my settings. the only other option i can think of is to hollow out my center console and mount the x-over in there (which would be pretty cool actually)
I don't really need any eq features either.

Thanks for the help guys, it looks like i am going to have to go with a non dash x-over.

Well, unless you've got some amazing linear actuator type contraption figured out for plugging/unplugging ports, I'd have to imagine you're gonna be in the trunk anyway. While your messin' around with the ports, you could adjust the trunk-mounted xover as well. [Confused]
