what are the pros/cons of these?

The biggest pro is that you can adjust the sound from the drivers seat instead of having to go back and forth to the trunk to adjust it. Also you may find that different cd's and the radio need different settings so you can adjust it to your liking while you are driving.

The only disadvantage is that they don't have as much adjustments as the bigger ones which you may want. But they are usually just fine. You can get them up to about 7 bands which for most people is enough. The big ones with up to 31 bands give more adjustment but are harder to setup and in most cases are overkill.
