with HD radio here or at least on the horizon it seems like a recording to play back when YOU want it head unit would be a no brainer for a company to build. Has this been done before? I remember the Panasonic anti-skip that would record a little of your CD while it was playing but I don't recall this for the radio source.

Good idea?/bad idea?/been done???

i believe it would be illegal to record the radio for later use.
i see the benefit of it, but not sure of the legalities or the market for it.
Clarion had their music catcher, and several brands have internal harddrive...just not for radio recording.
